Yes. VolTwin reads from any Modbus or MQTT-capable meter (Schneider, Siemens, ABB, L&T, Secure Meters, Genus, HPL, others). For older meters without digital output, we deploy non-invasive current sensors (split-core CTs). For DISCOM service meters that are read-only, we pair with a parallel sub-meter on the LT side.

EnPI = Energy Performance Indicator. VolTwin lets you define EnPIs per the ISO 50001:2018 framework — typically kWh/MT for production lines, kWh/m² for utilities, kWh/unit for assembly. The platform tracks baseline, target, and actual over time. EnPI deviation reports auto-generate for the management review meetings that ISO 50001 requires.

BRSR Core requires top-1000 listed entities to disclose nine ESG indicators, including total energy consumption (renewable vs non-renewable), energy intensity (per crore turnover), and GHG emissions (Scope 1 and 2). VolTwin auto-aggregates all of these from live meter data. Disclosure XML/PDF files generate against the SEBI BRSR Core template.

Indian DISCOMs charge a separate "demand charge" based on the highest 15-min average kVA recorded in the billing month (called "Contract Demand" or "Maximum Demand"). Breaching contract demand triggers penalty rates and forces an upgrade to a higher contracted level. VolTwin tracks rolling 15-min kVA, alerts before breach, and recommends load-shifting actions automatically. Most customers see 18%+ peak demand reduction.

Yes. VolTwin runs on AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1) by default. On-prem deployment available. DPDP Act-compliant. ISO 27001 certification in progress (Q3 2026).

VolTwin is priced as a Layer 4 module on the Wistwin platform — Run tier. Pricing is per-meter per-year. Indian customers typically see payback within 12-15 months on peak-demand penalty avoidance alone, before energy-intensity gains are counted.

AssetTwin yes (every meter and every machine must exist in the asset register). SmarTwin is recommended but not required — VolTwin can run standalone for energy-focused customers, but the per-line attribution becomes much richer when SmarTwin's production data is also live.

Hub-and-spoke. Each plant runs local VolTwin reading from local meters. Central corporate VolTwin aggregates group-level energy spend and ESG metrics. Group CFO sees one dashboard across the entire footprint. Cross-plant benchmarking — "Why does Plant A consume 18% more kWh/MT than Plant B for the same product?" — is the most-used group view.
